The term “mixed media art” is a broad definition that covers many forms of arts and crafts, including collage, assemblage, altered objects, handmade greeting cards, artist trading cards (ATCs) tags and art journaling as long as you use different mediums.
The “mixed media” used includes paint, paper, pastes, sprays, powders, textural elements, clay, resins, fabrics, found objects, photos, metal, inks, pencils, markers and pastels to name just a few.
This is my March project for Creative Artiste.
I used a combination of papers, acrylic paints, stencils, molding paste and a mixture of papers from my stash. I love the sentiment Richelle Goodrich, it was the inspiration for the collage along with the butterflies I collected in my stash. To complete the collage I added orange cord to the sides of the frame.

ReplyDeleteWhat a display full of colour, your background of texture and torn papers indeed makes a wonderful placement for your dynamic trio. Totally agree that Butterflies should be call Beautiflies they really are such graceful beings. Wonderful mixed media project.
