Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

APRIL 2025 - 613 Avenue Create ANYTHING GOES W/ OPTIONAL TWIST SPLASH OF COLOR

Time for another great challenge over at 613 Avenue Create
The theme of this challenge is as always Anything Goes and the Optional Twist is a splash of colour.

This is my card I made for the challenge.

I decided to do a vase and flowers for my splash of colour. The die cut I used for this card is by Spell Binders and is called Cactus Dahlia with foliage and Ornamental Garden Pottery.

I cut out my dies from white mixed media paper then added my colours Mungvo - Professional Water Colour. I did add a couple of more plant die pieces to fill in the vase.

I also added some markings with a white gel pen and a thin black marker. To finish the card I added some  gems, and a butterfly for colour.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month. Hope you will join us this month.
