Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. In Search of My Creative Side - Creative Artiste - July 2026


 Time for another mixed media challenge at Creative Artiste.  This month I chose to make a  junk journal using an old Reader's Digest book.  I  glued pages together for strength and added different pages using several techniques.

Some of the pages I  created using different techniques and sources of pictures books and art supplies. 

Here are a few of my pages.  The book has 26 decorated pages.

I used paper napkins with modpoged , a  collage of  different die cuts, washi paper to keep the pages in the book together. 




I used die cuts from a art journal kit I found at a local craft store, the kit was from a collection from STAMPERIA.

    Those RD books make grand junk journals, love how the paper absorbs paint and inks. My favourite pages are the Birds & Butterfly's. A real lovely mix.. Happy creative July Tracey xx
