It's a Beautiful Day

The theme of the week's Crafty Cardmakers is Floral Delight. 

 I love Honeysuckle flowers and decided to create my first spring project using this flower.   They remind me of my childhood. This digital stamp  is by Arty Pants and I coloured the image with water colours. The sentiment and butterfly are rubber stamps from my collection by Inkadinkadoo.

White on White

Come and Get it Challenge this week is a white on white colour theme and I chose to use a layering effect with 5 different textures of white paper. The card base is a ribbed textured card stock and the bottom layer is a smooth white paper that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The second layer is a glossy paper cut with a Spellbinder Nestabilities die cutter and the next layer is  a piece of white vellum also cut with a Spellbinder Nestabilities die cutter.

The last layer of white paper was cut and embossed using my new Cuttlebug embossing folder, Carly and then inked and and stamped with the "dream" stamp by Inkadinkado. To complete the card I used some white pearl bling and Organza ribbon.

I think the white on white effect is very pretty and would make a nice card for a wedding or maybe a baby showers. I wonder what interesting challenge will be next week at Come and Get Challenges. Come join in

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Butterfly

I used Stampendous butterfly stamp and Inkadinkado’s sentiment stamp to create this card for the Sketch Frenz Fridays’ blog challenge. I layered a couple of different pattern papers one which I embossed to give the card more texture. I coated the stamp areas with Radiant Pearls so the paper glistened and added a ribbon and bling to complete the card.

I managed to turn my craft room upside down tonight but think clean up will have to wait until tomorrow.
