Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. Thank You/Thankful Challenge ar Come and Get It Challenges

Happy Grandparents Day

Welcome back to another challenge over at Come and Get It Challenges. The sponsor this week of our Happy Grandparents Day is Paper Nest Dolls. I have used one of their cute images called Avery in Oz for my card.
My cute little girl was coloured with Copics and a glitter pen, cut with my scan and cut and layered on a die cut. To complete the card I added a sentiment, butterfly, leaves and flowers. Die Cut Challenge

I coloured my image with Copics and glitter, created an sentiment on my computer and added two die cuts to complete my card.

Nautical Challenge at Come and get It



Nautical is the theme of the challenge this week at Come and Get It Challenges.  I have made my card with and image from our sponsor Paper Nest Dolls.  The 
cute image is called Life Ring Ellie.


I coloured this cute image with Copic markers and Pencil Crayon and added her to some beach theme paper from my stash.  To complete my card I added some die cut beach elements.

Card for a Kid


I love the image I used for this week's challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.  The theme is a card for a Kid.  The sponsor of this challenge is Paper Nest Dolls and I used an image called Captain Owen.

I coloured my image with Copic Markers and layered several die cuts and a birthday sentiment. I had fun making this card and it I think I will use it for an upcoming birthday card for one of the little ones in my family.

Happy Easter



This week at Come and Get It Challenges it is a Spring/Easter Challenge.  I have used one of our new sponsors, Paper Nest Dolls' images called Carrot Love Owen.

To make my card I coloured my image with Copics, layered several designer papers for the background and a cricut cut fence.   To complete the card I added some prima flowers, die cut doodled leaves and a sentiment.
