Here Comes Christmas

For this month's mixed media project at Creative Artiste I made a Christmas wall plaque using some creative chipboard from our sponsor Scrapmatts and Papertole

Image may contain: text

I used a Santa's head that I coloured in Panpastels  and stamped with a snowflake design stamp by Stampin Up then added it to the base of my plaque.  I added the chipboard circles and the Believe sentiment from Scrapmatts products. The holy leaves were a Tim Holtz's die cut.  The Santa's hat was covered with glitter and the Christmas ball and bow were added to complete the project.

Thank you for stopping by.  Remember to pop over to our challenge blog top be inspired by our creative design team.  Have a creative month.

Altered Box

Time for another great challenge at Creative Artiste.  The theme of the challenge is anything mixed media goes and I have altered a cellphone box for my project.

Our sponsor this challenge is Scrapmatts.  Scrapmatts has a great collection of media products.

I used this gear stencil for my box.  It is a perfect stencil for a small box , card or tag.

I used molding paste on my stencil and coloured the box with several colours of Inka-Gold.  To complete my box I added several findings, a gear, clock and wings. I also used some gems and starred washi tape.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us in this anything goes mixed media challenge.  Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to see the inspiring projects of our design team.

What's Your Number?

I made this altered filing box (shoe box size) for the upcoming anything goes challenge at Creative Artiste.  Scrapmatts is our sponsor this month.  Scrapmatts has a wide variety of paper craft supplies including stencils, inks, chipboard and paper tole accessories. I used several of their products in my project.
I made this box to hold my collection of wooden and metal numbers.

I painted my box with gesso then stenciled my box with a couple of different number stencils and modelling paste.  I also added some rubber stamp numbers.  I then painted the box with turquoise and yellow ochre acrylic paint and highlighted the numbers with a wash of burnt umber paint.

I coloured a wooden ball in the same colours of the box to use on the lid, added some old bone coloured dominoes for the feet and a few wooded numbers for the top of the box.

Here is a closer look.
