Meowy Christmas

The theme this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges is "Christmas Animals" and I have used this cute digital image from Bugaboo, one of our sponsors called Meowy Christmas Cats.

I used a few scraps of designer Christmas paper for the layers of my card and coloured the image with a Wink of Stella and Copics Markers. I had the perfect sentiment is from my collection of rubber stamps.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Butterfly Garden

Time for another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and the theme of the challenge this week is pearls and gems.

I used a butterfly die from Memory Box called floating butterflies for my card. Behind the die I used one of my Gelli Plate prints made with acrylic paints in my favourite colours of greens and blues. To complete the card I added some pearls and gems for sparkle.

Life is Like a Bicycle ....

I am excited to announce that I am now on the design team for Eclectic Ellapu.  Eclectic Ellapu is a challenge blog that has a theme each challenge that starts on the 1st of the month.  This month's challenge is an "Anything Goes".

I decides too make a card following the theme of my sentiment that I created on my computer for the card.   I just loved this saying when I read it on a print.  The background of my bicycle scene was stamped on some gelli print paper that I had in my stash,  I like the way the colour is variegated on the wall giving the card a vintage look.

I used distressed inks to colour the bicycle and the basket of flowers. The vintage bicycle stamp is by Inkadinkado that I have had in my collection for a long time. . The background squares were cut out with my Cricut. I thought they went well with the gelli print background.

Thank you for joining us this week.  Pop over to the Eclectic Ellapu challenge blog to see the  creations that the design team has created to inspire you.

Encaustic Wax Mixed Media Board

Time for another Anything Goes challenge at Altered Eclectics.  This month I decided to get out my Encaustic waxed and create a mixed media board with them.  The background of the board was done with several colours of wax which the blue and silver sections were mixed with small glass beads.  I used masking tape to divide the layers.

Once I had my basic design I added a few findings.  The star fish were from a dollar store and I coloured them with alcohol inks.  The small beads were from my stash and the shell was made using a shell mold and thick embossing powder. I coloured the shell also with alcohol ink and then added a little glitter. All the findings were glued down with wax. Once the wax was total set I buffed the piece with an old nylon to bring out the shine.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  Remember to stop by the Altered Eclectics challenge board to see the beautiful creations of all the design team members.

Have a Ball

Time for another challenge at Come and Get It and the theme this week is to make your own embellishments. I have used   an image from Scrapper's Delight, one of our great sponsors for my card called  Lady Jane . She is a lovely image to colour with my Copics.

I used a very old rubber stamp (1996) for the background from Hero Arts called Bursting Fireworks for the background of my card.  I thought it worked well with the theme of the card. My embellishment I made with a die cut which I added a star to to continue with the theme.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

I coloured muy image with Copics and added sparkle and glitter with A Wink of Stella.  To complete my card I added a birthday sentiment and some sequences for some more sparkle. Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative week.  Hope you will join us for this challenge at Come and Get It

Six Months to Halloween

We have a new monthly challenge at SLS Lines this month and we are celebrating 6 month to Halloween.  Check out our challenge blog for our inspirational Halloween projects.

I have made an altered spell book for this challenge using a hollow book from the dollar store.  For the cover of the book I used an image called Voodoo King  and added some die cut bats. Vodoo King and can be found in SLS Lines' Esty store here. I added some Halloween paper from my stash that I altered with distress inks  I coloured the image with Copics, charcoal pencil and added some diamond glaze for an accent.  The sentiment I created on my computer.

For the spine of the book I used some heavy gesso for the texture, painted with a couple of colours of Acrylic paints and added some black letters from my stash for the word Spells.

For the inside of my book I added another SLS Lines image called Halloween Monsters and can be found here.  The image was coloured with Copics and Distress Inks. I lined the box with Halloween paper then added some Halloween bones, skeletons, and bottle from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  Hope you will join us this month at SLS Lines.
