Life is Like a Bicycle ....

I am excited to announce that I am now on the design team for Eclectic Ellapu.  Eclectic Ellapu is a challenge blog that has a theme each challenge that starts on the 1st of the month.  This month's challenge is an "Anything Goes".

I decides too make a card following the theme of my sentiment that I created on my computer for the card.   I just loved this saying when I read it on a print.  The background of my bicycle scene was stamped on some gelli print paper that I had in my stash,  I like the way the colour is variegated on the wall giving the card a vintage look.

I used distressed inks to colour the bicycle and the basket of flowers. The vintage bicycle stamp is by Inkadinkado that I have had in my collection for a long time. . The background squares were cut out with my Cricut. I thought they went well with the gelli print background.

Thank you for joining us this week.  Pop over to the Eclectic Ellapu challenge blog to see the  creations that the design team has created to inspire you.

White with a Splash of Colour

It is 2016 now and the first challenge of the year from Incy Incy Designs. The theme of the challenge is "white with a splash of colour" and this is the card I made for the challenge using our sponsor A Day for Daisies'  image  called Baby Cherry Blooms.

The card was very simply made.  I used two different dies in white to make up the card base and  then coloured my image in mainly tones of purple. The sentiment is a stamp you Inkadinkado.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative week.

Life Cycle

I created this card for a card swap at then Yahoo Group - Inky Fun Stampers this month.  It had been awhile since I had my rubber stamps out and I realized I missed using them.  This bicycle stamp is by  Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from my stash of unmounted polymer stamps and at this time I have forgotten the name of the manufacturer of the stamp.

This was a fun card and very simply done.  I think it is telling me spring is here and time to get out the bicycle. Hope my partner enjoys it.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative day.

Enjoy the Gift of Nature

I like the Pine Cone Spray from Fred She Said Designs.   There is so much you can do with the digital images in the set.

For this simple card I put two images together to make the oval shape that I used for this card.  I added some colour to the image and mounted the image on several different card stocks. The wood grain background was a embossing folder that I added some Distress Ink too. The sentiment is  by Inkadinkado.

Thank you for stopping by.  I am off to clean up my craft room.

Colour Challenge at Come and Get It Challenges

Calypso Coral, Pool Party, & Daffodil Delight are the colours of this challenge that design team member Meighan chose this week at Come and Get It Challenges.

I used this great dress stamp that I have had in my collection for a very long time by Inkadinkado, nearly as long as I have been stamping. I stamped and layered the dress on papers in the selected colours.  I then added ribbon, bling and some embossed punched hearts to complete my card.  I think my card is ready for a spring garden party.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Come join us at Come and Get It this week.  If you need some inspiration check out the designs of the other team members.

Time for a Card Sketch

It is Cindy’s turn to choose the theme this week at Come and Get it Challenges and she has chosen a card sketch.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

The background paper was colored with Gesso and Radiant Pearls mixed in colors of pink, blue and copper and then the paper was spritz with glimmer mist. Once the gesso had dried I cut out my frame using a cut and embossed frame from Cuttlebug called Carly. Inside the frame I added a scalloped circle and stamped a sentiment and embossed it with copper embossing powder. I layered the frame on copper card stock which I thought brought out the copper in the background paper. I then added a ribbon and some bling to complete the card.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us at Come and Get It Challenges this week.

Reindeer Challenge

Santa Claus’s reindeer are a team of flying reindeer traditionally held to pull the sleigh of Santa Claus and help him deliver Christmas Gifts. Since this week is my turn to chose the challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges  I thought reindeer was a great theme.

I had this great stamp in my collection for a very long time by Inkadinkado. I believe it is one of the first Christmas Stamps I ever bought. I embossed the image in a very non-traditional Christmas color of purple. I think the dark purple looks like a night sky. I kept the card simple and just added a couple of layers of paper and ribbon.
Now it is your turn to create your card. Need an idea, check out the creations of the other elves at Holly Jolly. Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

Nautical Theme Collage

I create this nautical theme collage card for a challenge by Fashionable Stamping Challenges (319).  You can see their challenges at:
It was fun going through all of my nautical rubber stamps to make the collage.  It has been a long time since I have had a lot of them out. Some of the stamps used in the collage are from Toybox, Inkadinkado, Lasting Impressions by Panache and PSX.  They are all older stamps that I had purchased many years ago.
I added some colour with my Tombow markers, distressed and alcohol inks, then I tied what I think is a nautical knot to add to the card to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

You Make My heart Flutter - PollycraftsDigi Stamps Recyling Challenge

Pollycrafts’ Monday challenge this week is recycling. I chose to use their “Sonny Butterflies” digi stamp from their collection for this project then went digging in my paper scraps and other boxes where I keep my bling, discarded stamped images, ribbons and other odds and ends. I coloured the cute digi image my Copics. The additional stamps I used for this project were:

You make My heart Flutter - Inkadinkado
Flourishes - Stampin Up
Butterfly - unknown

Once I had the card constructed I gave the butterfly some antennas and added some bling and glitter to complete the card. This was a fun challenge.

Well back to the craft room to clean up.
Have a crafty day every one.
