Card Sketch Time at Holly Jolly

Julie has a card sketch for us at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week and it is a very interesting sketch.

This challenge is sponsored by one of my favorites digital stamp company, Bugaboo Stamps and with Bugaboo as our sponsor this week have a prize for one lucky participant that will be chosen by Random Org. If you have never taken a look at their wonderful images I suggest that you you cruise over to their site and take a look, there is something for everybody and if you prefer rubber Bugaboo has that too.

Here is my interpretation of Julie's sketch.

Do you remember growing up that children’s mittens sometimes were attached by a string that you threaded through your coat sleeve so that you did not lose your mittens? The string holding the Christmas balls on the sketch reminded me of the string on the mittens. I found this "Warmest Wishes" sentiment at Bugaboo stamps that I thought went well with my idea. I used a die cut for the mittens and threaded a red and white string through them to give the effect I was looking for.

This was a fun sketch and I hope you will join us at Holly Jolly this week. Pop over over to Holly Jolly and see what the other elves have created.

  1. Judy, I love how you interpreted the sketch with the mittens attached with string! Great card! My grandma would knit me several pairs of mittens each year...and...attached them with a knitted string! So fun to remember!
