Christmas Canvas

This canvas was made for  our Christmas theme challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and our last challenge of 2019.

I made this Christmas canvas using several designer papers from Stamperia, it is their Make a Wish Collection.

To make my canvas I used a snowflake stencil and Ice Effect by Pentart on the paper I used for the base of my 12 by 12 canvas then layered pieces of other papers such as the tree and angel.  The houses were hand drawn on cardboard and layered with papers from the collection. The windows were cut with a die cut and the door was cut by hand.  The snow effect on the houses and tree is a Pentart product called snow paste. I added a twisted ribbon  in Christmas colours. I also used Pentart glitter pen, Nuvo Crystal Drops in white and clear and a  Merry Christmas die cut.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you will join us in this Christmas challenge. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.

No Pattern Paper Challenge

No Pattern Paper is the theme of this weeks Crafty Cardmakers challenge this week.

This card was made with rubber stamps from Rubbernecker and Hampton Stamps along with a background music stamp from my stash that  skips my mind who the company that made it is.
The round music die is by  Amy Designs.

Once I had my card set up the way I wanted it to be I added colour with my copics, I used an old punch for the musical notes which I added with a layer of Nuvo drops too. The last thing I added was some Pentart gold glitter on the sax. The card was made for my son's birthday.

Altered Wine Bottle

Bleeding Art Has another great challenge this month, as always it is anything goes mixed media.

Look at what I found for a $1.00 at a thrift store to alter.  I was so excited when I found it.   The bottle was from a local Winer for a wine they produced 15 years ago called Jazz Blush.

Here is the bottle I purchased.

This is my bottle once I had completed the project.

I  painted my bottle first with gesso  and then with Pentart decoupage paste I added my scraps of music from an old song book.  I used a brown gel medium to coat the page to give the project a antique look.   I painted the keys, musical letters, handle, and mouth piece black and assented it with a gold trim.  I added buttons to the keys.  To complete the altered bottle I added a jazzy tag,

Some more views of the project.

I love the soft colours on the mood board and the cute baby image, both the colours and the image inspired me to create my project..

I used an picture of my grandson taken last winter on holidays for my canvas.  I think he is a real cutie.  I decoupaged  several layers of scrapbook paper to my canvas then used a stencil  and white acrylic paint to add the white circles.  I also used blue acrylic to add colour and texture to the sides of the canvas.  My layers on the canvas of pattern circle, tags, and toys were cut out of my scraps.

I added the word "smile" with heavy gel medium and coloured the wooden letters with Acrylic paint and Nuvo Crystal drops for sparkle.
