Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

What Is Your Style?

The challenge over at A Place to Start this month is to create a project in you favourite style. My favourite style is all forms of Mixed Media.

For my card I used a print from my Gell Plate of the card and layered some Tim Holtz tissue paper over the print.  I also used the print to die cut out may butterfly.

This is my colourful print I used.

Here is a closer look.

I used a white layer under my butterfly so that it popped and added a sentiment by Inkadoodle that I have has in my stash for a long time.

To complete my card I added of gold paper pen to give the card more interest.

Hope you will join us this month and show us your favourite style.

Pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our fabulous design team.

Have a creative and safe week.

  1. That background is awesome, I love the colour combination and I love the contrast between the white parts of the butterfly and all those colours. Beautiful card. María, xx
