Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

FEBRUARY 2024 - ANYTHING GOES w/Optional Twist: Color Challenge: Pick A Palette

Time for another challenge at A Place to Start. The theme for February is as always Anything Goes and the optional twist is pick a colour palette and create a monochrome  project.

I decided to create my card using the monochrome colour palette of grey and black.

This is my card.

My Jazz Age card was created using a selection of rubber stamps from my stash along with several die cuts for the frame and music notes. The trumpet player I believe is an old rubber stamp from Rubberneckers.  I also used a rubber stamp for the record. I used Nuvo clear accents on the bubbles.
I hope that you will join us this challenge. Create you card and enter it here. Have a creative month.
