Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

A Place to Start Challenge July - Anything Goes

Time for another new challenge at A Place to Start. The theme this month is anything goes. I would like to see what you are working on this month.

This month I decided to make a simple card using some of my gelli plate papers and adding a a stamped octopus. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the company creating the stamp. That is the unfortunate part of   stamps no longer on blocks. The good thing is the we have more room in our craft room for more product.

I added some clear Nuvo to parts of the octopus to give texture and dimension.  I also added a sentiment that consisted parts of different sentiment from my stash.

Hope you will join us this month. Remember to stop by our challenge blog to be inspired by our talented design team. Have fun creating this month.
