About Me

Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

A Place to Start- Anything Goes Challenge with optional Twist/Gate Fold Card

Time for our first challenge of 2024  over at A Place to Start. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year.  The theme this month is Anything Goes with an optional twist of a gate fold card.

This the gate fold card I made for the challenge.

I used the flower to hold my gate closed.

The background paper with from the Ltd. Collection - called Ice Porcelain. It is a very pretty paper pack (www.itdcollection.com). The butterfly is from a group of Tim Holtz stamps that I have had for a very long time. I also used some gems on my card along with a gold leafing pen to edge the card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month.  Hope to see you back here again soon.
