Key to Life - Hope

I just purchased this Element Rubber stamp by Lazar Studio Werx and decided to use the stamp to make a collage card for an upcoming card swap I am participating in.  The stamp was on sale because unfortunately the company has gone out of business.

I used a piece of Gelli paper that I had created earlier that had a lot of colours on it and it looked like peeled paint for my card base. I stamped a music stamp over the background to give ore interest. I layered a piece of coordinating scrapbook paper on it along with a piece of lace and doily I tea dyed.  I coloured the image with Copic markers and distressed the edges with walnut Distress ink.  To complete the card I added a metal piece saying hope along with some brads and a key from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a creative day. Remember my favourite saying  by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side.

Ooh La La

I made with tag for a tag swap for next month at a Yahoo Group I belong to called, Inky Fun Stampers.   The tag swap required the use of embossing paste which I used with a Tim Holtz stencil for the background.  I tinted my embossing paste with PanPastels chalks.

The image is from a Canadian rubber stamp company called Lazar Studio Werx, from their elements collection. Unfortunately the company is no longer making rubber stamps. The rubber stamp sentiment by A Muse Artstamps which I stamped on a small tag. The flowers are from my stash and I sprayed them with Gold Glitter Mist for some sparkle. The image was coloured with Copics and Distress Inks .

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

I am entering this tag in the following challenges:

Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes
Stempelsonnen Challenge - Anything Goes

Hark the Harold Angels Sing

My turn to host the challenge this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I chose Christmas Music as the theme of the challenge.  Lots of possibilities for this challenge, the card could have an actual Christmas Carol on it, Carolers, or a scene picturing a Christmas song theme are some of the possibilities that come to mind.

I chose to use a Hark the Harold Angel sheet of  music from Vintage Feed Sacks' blog  for the background of my card.  I used Tea Dye Distress Ink to age the the sheet.

The rubber stamp I used of the two angels is from my collection of rubber stamps by a company called Lazar Studio Werx. I added some colours to the wings and dress of the angels with my chalks. I love the vintage feeling of the card.

Hope you will join us this week at Holly Jolly and have a  great week creating.
