Stamping with Felt

I made this card using a technique from Technique Junkies called stamping on felt.   For technique you need a  rubber stamp that has a corresponding die cut.  Cut out a piece of felt with the die cut and then attach the cut out piece of felt to a block.  I used sticky tape to attach the felt but you could use Velcros.

Once you have your felt stamp attached to the block, add alcohol ink in several colours to the stamp and then stamp on glossy card stock. I stamped my felt stamp several times getting different variations of the colour of the images as the piece of felt held less ink.  Using a stamp positioner to align the rubber stamp over the alcohol inked images I stamped the image then cut out the image with the matching die cut.   I used the following products on my card:

  • Designer paper - Nostalgic Essentials by Authentique
  • Sizzix Stamp and Diecut - Antique Flowers and Butterflies
  • Tim Holtz - Alcohol Inks
  • Stazon Ink
Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Haunting Halloween

A Haunting Halloween is the theme at Come and Get it Challenges this week. This is my challenge card. I love Halloween cards.

I used a Cheery Lynn Design die for my step card along with some Halloween paper from my stash. I used a Sizzex tombstone die cut to stamp my RIP stamp from Class Act on. With my Cricut and a die cut I cut out bats and a spider and then added some bugs eye to my spider.  To complete my card I added a sentiment from my stash from Stampin Up tied with a Halloween ribbon.

Thank you for stopping to take a look.

Joy Fold Challenge

Cindy has a great challenge at Come and Get It Challenges this week, a Joy Fold card.  I had fun making my card.  I altered a pattern I found on Pinterest and added my own twist.

To make my card I used several die cuts from several different companies, Mind's Eye pattern paper and a sentiment rubber stamp by All Night Media.
I sprayed my tattered flower and leaves with a Pearl Glaze to give them body and a shine.  I added some faux stitches around the edge of the card for more interest and a button and brad to complete the card.

Hope you will join us this week for this Joy Fold Challenge at Come and Get It. Have a creative day.

Time for a Card Sketch

This week at Come and Get  It  is a fun card sketch.

Here is my card that was inspired by the sketch.

I decided to do a Christmas card for this challenge. This was a very simple card. I used a Tim Holtz’s die cut for the rosette flowers and a Sizzix border die cut for the bottom border, then I added a sentiment and some bling.

I hope you will come and join us at Come and Get It this week. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

3,2,1 Challenge Christmas Challenge

Paige picked the theme for the challenge for Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge this week and it is a 3,2,1 challenge, three embellishments, two pattern papers and one image. This challenge also is sponsored by Fred, She Said Designs and they are providing the  prize this week.

Fred, She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - digi’s, pre-colored images, papers, sets, Fred’s flower kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!

Here is my card.

For my card I used Fred’s Emma the Caroler.  For the 3,2,1 challenge I used three pearl embellishments, two pattern papers and a digi stamp (Emma).  The hardest part of making the card was choosing which one of Fred’s great images I was going to use for the card.

Come join us at Holly Jolly.  If you need some inspiration for your card just hop over to Holly Jolly and take a look at the great cards of the other Holly Jolly elves.  Hope you have a creative day.

Day 5 - Dragonfly Tag

Final day as card captain this week at Yahoo Group, Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps and I have made another tag. I had my gesso out again playing with mixing colors and textures. I colored the gesso with Radiant Pearls in colors of pink, blue, orange and copper and gave the tag a spritz of glimmer mist. Once the gesso had dried I stamped the mesh background stamp by Stampin Up on the tag.

I made the flower from Tim Holtz die cutter called tattered flowers and the leaves from a Sizzix die cutter.

The dragonfly of course is from the Michael Strong collection. I stamped the dragonfly on a piece of left over textured paper I coated with gesso from the tag I made on day one. I embossed the dragon fly with copper embossing powder. I love the way the dragonfly shimmers in the light.

A sentiment and some ribbon completed the tag. I had a fun week as card captain . I hope you enjoyed my cars and tags this week.

It is Time for A Bingo

It is Hostest choice and she has choosen a bingo for this week challenge at Come and Get it Challenges. Choose a row, column or diagonal , make your card and include in your creation the elements in the row that you have chosen.

Bugaboo Stamps are the sponsor of this challenge and you know what that means – there is a prize given out of 7 digi stamps.

Here is my card

I used this cute digi image by our sponsor Bugaboo Digi stamps called "Ava Deacon Birthday", it is one of their stamps from the "Scene It" collection. For the bingo I chose to use the center vertical row: die cuts, free and glitter. I thought a birthday card was a great choice for a glitter card.  I used Martha Stewart’s glitter pens and stickles for the glittering. To complete the card I used a Stampin Up set of die cutters and stamps for the Happy Birthday sentiment. I love their new banners set.

This card will be prefect for one of my niece’s little ones birthdays coming up. It’s is very colorful and  festive. Come and Join us this week Come and Get us Challenges this week.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.
