Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Pick a Holiday

This is my inspiration card for this weeks challenge, Pick a Holiday.   I chose Valentines Day as my holiday and used this pretty digital from Fitztown called Valentine 2.  You can purchase any of the Valentine images here.

My sentiment is a quote I found on Pinterest that I added to the image with my photo editing package.  The other products I used to make the card are:

Butterflies - Martha Stewart
Pearls, paper and ribbon from my stash
Pencil Crayons for coloring the roses
Copic Markers for colouring the back ground
Gold Kyron Pen for edging the image
Spellbinder Herloom Legacy die

Indian Princess

Thank you for stopping by.  I made this card for a newest purchase card swap at Inky Fun Stampers this week. I love this Whimsy stamp, I think she is so sweet. The stamp is called Wyanet (Beautiful).

The feather die is by Spellbinder and the butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch.  The large feather stamp I used for the background is a old stamp I have had in my stash by Rubber Stampede.

Thanks for looking.
