Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

April Showers

Shopping Our Stash Challenge (#48) this week is April Showers or Snow or anything water related.  That is a lot of creative real estate to make a card.  Since we are in the month of April I chose the April Showers theme. I have this cute Penny Black stamp called “Sunshine in the Rain” that I just love that I used for the card.

I used the paper piecing technique to colour the umbrella and rain coat.  The rest of the image I used my Copics and distressed inks. The sentiment is part of another rainy day set by Flourishes stamps.

Well back to my craft room to stamp some more and maybe a little clean up.

  1. Judy, I always get so excited when you enter the SOS challenges! Your card is adorable with the bright red and yellow color combo! So happy you joined us this week at Shopping Our Stash!

  2. I really, REALLY like the red & yellow combination you've used! Gotta love paper piecing, too, eh? :) Thanks for joining us at Shopping Our Stash!
