Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. Alcohol Ink Tile Weights - Orange Challenge at Splashy Mixed Challenges

This is my project for April's Orange theme over at Splashy Mix Challenges.

Here is our mood board

Create anything as long as the predominant colour is orange.

-Your work must be new, not previously published anywhere
You can create any mixed media project corresponding to the mood board and the colors presented in the mood board are also accepted.

I decided to play with my alcohol inks and create some colourful weights for my craft room table.  I also took this opportunity to try out a few new techniques and ideas. 

I started my projects by cleaning my white tiles that I purchased at my local hardware store then I added my inks.

 Here are a few pictures of my finished weights. I used a combination of embossing, stamping and copper leafing.
