Christmas Gift Bag

Crafting with Friends has another great anything goes challenge this week. Lacy Sunshine is the sponsor of the challenge. I have used their digital image called Frozen Lilac Flower Pot Pretty

I used a brown paper lunch bag as my base to the gift bag.   I coloured my image with glitter and Copics and then layered die cut snowflakes, Christmas tree and a poinsettia on the bag.  I sprayed the poinsettia with a light blue ink spray and then added some gems to give the bag some sparkle. I added glitter to my snowflakes.  To compete the project I added a sentiment from Just-Rite stamps.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you have a very creative week.

Water, Water......

I am so excited to announce that I am part of The Mirror Crack'd design team.  What a wonderful group of very talented ladies I get to work with.

For the purpose of defining mix media at The Mirror Crack'd it is a mixture of any of the following and more besides:-

Texture paste, Gesso, inks both spray and from ink pads, embossing powders, paints, chalks, gilding wax, and gilding flakes. Found items such as old keys, buttons (granny's button box is a great place to look for some fabulous old and intricate buttons), zip pulls, zips, recycled cans, bottles, boxes etc.

Our theme this month is water

Splish, splash, splosh!
Water is such an integral part of our lives, the weather, rain, snow or storms. The landscape, the ocean, rivers and waterfalls. In our homes, cooking and cleaning. So many sports involve water, leisure and pleasure!
Show us your inspiration, what will you create?
We are intrigued, will it be a scrap page, a canvas, a card, a 3D project or a tag?

Some of the products I used to make my canvas are:

Gesso
canvas
modeling paste
acrylic paints
spray inks
rubber stamps
digital images
dies
real shells
artificial shells
distress ink
buttons
pearls
cheese cloth
small alphabet tiles

PLEASE REMEMBER ANYTHING MIXED MEDIA/ALTERED ART IS ACCEPTABLE EXCEPT CARDS

This week at Forever Dark Challenges Shadow Clocksy  is the sponsor of our challenge and I used an image called Litith Digital stamp for my art journal page.

I used a print of none of my gelli plate images for the background then I printed on top of the image a digital paper that was a picture of wire mesh. Lilith was coloured with Copics, watercolor crayons and a gell pen.

Not Just Cards Art Journal Pages

Welcome  back to another challenge at Not Just Cards. Like always the challenge is "anything goes".

I have used an image by SLS Lines, one of our sponsors, for my first art journal page called Goth Girl with Top Hat.

To make this journal page I started with my Gell plate, added some stencils images, rubber stamped skeletons heads, die cut arrows, locks and keys.  The Goth girl was Copics and a Gell pen.  To complete the project I added some stenciled words.

For my second art journal page I used an image from Shadow Clocksy  Digis  called Biohazard Girl.

To make this journal page I started with one of my my Gell plate images added some eye and a sentiment.  My image was coloured with Copics , The sentiment was a quote by Ghandi.
